UPDATE: Mayor Steve Adler announced, March 24, that Austin and Travis County will shelter-in-place. Like before, all bars and restaurant dining rooms are still closed, and so are non-essential business. Luckily, food is essential, and restaurants can still provide curbside, pickup and delivery.

Mayor Steve Adler announced, March 17, that all bars and restaurant dining rooms will close until May 1. In response, here are some things you can do to continue supporting your local vegan spots during these closures.

For restaurants offering curbside, pickup or delivery, call or order online. Some restaurants will deliver within a specific distance radius. But for deliveries outside of their area, check out Favor, Grubhub, Postmates or Uber Eats. These delivery services are still running at the time of this post.

In addition to ordering takeout, you can buy gift cards from the shop’s website. Your gift cards will help support owners during this slower period.

Below is an alphabetical list of restaurants offering curbside, pickup and delivery services. We’ll update this list as news comes in, so check back often.

A motto of ours has always been to "take care of our future selves." We can't imagine going through this challenging time any other way. We have always put our priority on community and now, we are doubling down on that commitment. We acknowledge the connection between mental health and what's going on in the world right now. From being stuck home with the kids all day/every day, to being triggered by fear on the tv, or struggling to be outside your usual routine, this can be a strain on your emotional reserves. ⁣ ⁣ Enter cake. ⁣ ⁣ Let *us* help take care of *your* future selves. We've designed a new menu. We've tried to think of your future self – maybe she is tired of making dinner every night…maybe he can't eat boring cereal one more morning. It means so much to us that you want to support us right now, we just want to send you away with things that can really lighten your load, even if for just an afternoon of cupcake decorating, a dinner you don't have to cook, or overnight oats to look forward to.⁣ ⁣ As always we have intense gratitude for our community. You have always shown us such love when we've been down. This is not the time to say we are the ones suffering though, we are ALL affected by this. We cannot neglect to mention our incredible and creative team. When we said we wanted to go towards the light, they jumped right onboard our rocket. We acknowledge there would be no Skull & Cakebones without each and every one of them, and we sincerely hope we get to keep it that way.⁣ ⁣ Let's shine it on and stay connected through this. We will be a better community if we do.⁣ 〰️⁣ Open Saturday and Sunday for DRIVE THRU only. We will have a very limited brunch menu and some baked goods but if you check the link in the bio 👆 you'll find our online menu (keep checking for updates) so you can order there or call or drive up and we will have menus available for both brunch and our new market items.⁣ ⁣ **If you are not comfortable coming to the drive thru, or cannot, please call or email us and we will arrange to drop off at your house (w/in a 5 mile radius**)

  1. I ordered from Ararat ToGo + Coffee window this week. They are on GrubHub and Favor. Vegan options. For large orders and more vegan options they have a catering side of the house too. I’ve been told you can call direct for those.
